“Before Easter, I spent a lot of time on YouTube researching techniques – for example, how to manifest specific people, attract new clients, or manifest more money. There are countless videos on this topic – but often it doesn’t work as easily as it’s portrayed. At first, I thought, ‘Maybe I should give up and focus on something else.’ But I felt an emptiness inside. No, that wasn’t the solution. I had already invested so much time – simply giving up? That wasn’t an option for me.”

So I thought about it for a while and came to the conclusion: I need my own method. I was particularly inspired by a book – Transurfing. But in the end, I developed my own personal method of simplicity. I’d like to show you how it works in this article. And at the end of the article, I’ll let you in on a little secret – a kind of magic formula. So stay tuned.

Tired and annoyed by the numerous techniques on YouTube

I was beyond annoyed by all the videos on YouTube—almost frustrated. One time I was told to focus completely on my desire and affirm it. Another time I was supposed to let go of everything. And then again, visualize. Every YouTuber brought new “insights”—and each time, new hope. But deep down, I knew: This can’t work. Not by blocking out the 3D world. Not by affirming until I collapse. And not by meditating for hours on end.

A few weeks before Easter, I listened to a video meditation about receiving a message from a specific person. And at that exact moment, I did something different. I didn’t doubt myself. I didn’t think about whether it would work. I simply decided:

That works now.

IIt will work. was convinced inwardly – not 100%, but so sure that I could say:

And it was precisely this determination that made the difference. “At some point, I was simply tired. Tired of constantly feeling like I had to do everything perfectly. Tired of this inner pressure that accompanied me whenever I dealt with manifestation.”

It was as if I were standing in front of an endless checklist:

  • Have I visualized enough? – Is the image clear enough in my mind’s eye?
  • Did I feel it intensely enough? – Was the emotion strong enough, or did I only believe in it superficially?
  • Was I meditating long enough? – Did I truly connect deeply enough with my desire, or was it just a perfunctory exercise?

Every time I sat down to manifest, it didn’t feel easy. Not like a natural flow, not like something that brought me joy. But like a task I had to complete. Like an exam where I feared failing if I didn’t get everything exactly right .

And then came that moment – that quiet, clear thought:
If manifestation feels so difficult, then it can’t be the right path.

The universe doesn’t work with coercion. It works with ease, with trust, with what feels natural

That’s exactly what showed me: something was wrong with my approach. Not because the techniques were wrong – but because I was getting lost in them. I had forgotten that manifestation isn’t a battle. It’s an invitation.

How I simplified affirmations – and why afformations work even better

“I used to torture myself with affirmations that felt wrong. Phrases like ‘I am rich’ or ‘Customers flock to me’ sounded like bad advertising in my head – and only triggered resistance. So I started simplifying them. Not just in the wording, but in the energy behind them.”

My simplified affirmations sound like this today:

  • “I see new opportunities to win customers.” (Instead of: “I have a thousand customers.” )
  • “I don’t have to convince anyone – I’m worthy of being elected.” (Instead of: “Everyone loves me.” )
  • “I trust that the right connection will reveal itself.” (Instead of: “I am now manifesting my dream partner.” )
  • “I’m building my online business step by step.” (Instead of: “My business exploded overnight.” )

Why does this work better?
Because these sentences sound true . Because they don’t reek of desperation or exaggeration, but of natural growth . Because they don’t make me feel like I have to lie to myself.

But then I discovered afformations – and that was the game-changer.
Afformations (by Noah St. John) are questions instead of statements . They bypass inner resistance because they pique our subconscious’s curiosity – instead of overwhelming it.

My favorite statements about this:

  • “Why do I recognize new opportunities for my business so easily today?”
  • “Why are the right customers attracted to me?”
  • “Why do I trust that everything will fall into place at the right time?”
  • “Why am I building my business with so much ease?”

The difference?
Affirmations tell you what to believe – afformations let you find the answer yourself. And this answer doesn’t come from your head, but from your gut feeling . From the part of you that already knows it works.

My conclusion:

Sometimes all it takes is a few simple, honest words – and the willingness to truly accept them. Whether as an affirmation or an afformation: the most important thing is that it feels good. Because the universe doesn’t listen to the words. It listens to the energy behind them.

I’d like to add something later. A common mistake when manifesting is that many people start either too low or too high. Both can lead to your results not appearing at all or appearing more slowly than you would like.

For example, if you say,
“I’m back in contact with my ex and everything is perfect,”
your mind can immediately start to doubt. Deep down, you might be thinking, ” That’s not true at all.” This inner resistance blocks your energy and prevents anything from changing.

The same principle applies to physical issues. For example, if you have back pain and tell yourself,
“My back doesn’t hurt at all anymore,” it doesn’t feel real to you. Your focus automatically remains on the pain because your body is perceiving something different than what you’re saying.

So what is the better solution?

Consciously shift your focus instead of forcing something that feels wrong. For example, you could say:
“I take good care of my body” or
“I allow my back to relax.”

This way you take a step forward without creating internal resistance.

But beware: Even steps that are too small can block you.

Another mistake is thinking too narrowly. For example, if you say,
“I’m now getting individual comments on LinkedIn or YouTube from potential customers,” you’re often still operating at a low energy level. You’re remaining on a small scale and not opening yourself up to bigger opportunities. The key is to choose a statement that feels credible to you but also moves you a step further.

Good examples include:

  • “I am now attracting new, suitable customers for my business.”
  • “My content is seen, shared and commented on.”
  • “I receive inquiries and messages from potential customers
  • “I develop the right marketing strategy for my target group.”

These statements are powerful enough to spark change, yet realistic enough for your mind to accept. Always pay attention to your inner reaction when manifesting.
If a thought feels too big or unrealistic, it creates resistance.
If it’s too small, you stagnate. The best strategy is a clear, honest middle ground: thoughts that feel good, motivate you, and allow you to grow.

I started making things easier – and suddenly everything felt easier.

It was as if I’d spent years trying to hike with an overloaded backpack. Every time I sat down to manifest, I packed in even more: more techniques, more rules, more pressure. Until one day I realized: I’m suffocating under my own complexity.

  • No more long routines that exhausted me before I even started.
  • No complicated techniques that kept me more concerned with the how than the what .
  • No hours of visualization that felt like a chore.

Instead: A few quiet thoughts each day. A brief pause whenever a moment of silence arose. Simply writing down what felt right to me – without pressure, without expectations. And then? Just carry on as normal. As if nothing special had happened. That’s how my method of simplicity gradually developed .

How does it work?
I write down simple, believable sentences – not exaggerated fantasies, but thoughts that feel natural . Thoughts that I can truly believe .

For example:

  • “People respond to my content – exactly the content they need.”
  • “New conversations are arising that enrich me.”
  • “The right people find my content without me having to go down the wrong path.”

Nothing exaggerated. No statements like “I’ll get rich overnight” or “Money is pouring into my life like a waterfall ,” which feel wrong and trigger inner resistance. Nothing that feels unrealistic —because then I wouldn’t take it seriously myself.

Only thoughts that feel calm and possible . Thoughts I can read with a smile because they sound true . Thoughts that don’t taste of despair, but of serene confidence .

Why does this work?

Because I’m no longer working against myself. Because I’m no longer telling the universe: “Here’s my wish – but I don’t really believe in it.” Instead, I’m saying: “Here’s my wish – and I allow it without clinging to it.”

The magic formula you’ve probably been looking for

Perhaps you’re expecting a long, step-by-step guide. Or a magic snap of the fingers that will make it all happen instantly. But the truth lies somewhere in between: It’s easier than you think – and yet so difficult to put into practice.

[su_box title=”The Magic Formula for Manifesting” style=”glass”]According to Transurfing (and my own experience), a wish only comes true when you let go of the expectations associated with it. The longing itself isn’t the problem – it’s the meaning you assign to the wish. The fear of not achieving it. The pressure to desperately need it. The constant question: “When will it finally happen?”[/su_box]

The universe doesn’t respond to your wishes – it responds to your energy . And this energy is purest when you do two things :

  1. You let go. Not because you become indifferent, but because you trust .
  2. You act – without being held liable. You do what is necessary, but without losing yourself in the result.

Sounds paradoxical? It is. Because the moment you stop needing the desire is often the moment it is fulfilled.

That’s the whole formula.
No ritual. No complicated system. Just this one, seemingly simple principle – which is simultaneously so difficult for us because we are used to wanting to control things .

But that’s precisely where the magic lies: not in holding on, but in letting go .

Conclusion: How manifesting works effortlessly

Perhaps manifesting is much simpler than we’ve thought for years – not this complicated system we have to master perfectly, not this technique we practice for hours until it finally works, and certainly not something we can force with sheer willpower. Instead, it can be easy, almost like a natural breath that simply happens without us having to think about it.

For me, effortless manifesting means allowing clear and calm thoughts to arise without forcing them, without controlling them, and without constantly clinging to them as if my entire happiness depended on them. It’s not about doing everything perfectly or meticulously following a specific method, but simply about not getting in my own way. A thought that feels right, a sense of “This could be possible ,” and the openness to simply let it happen without forcing it—that’s often all it takes.

And perhaps this is precisely the moment when manifesting truly begins: not out of effort, but out of ease; not out of a feeling of “I have to make it happen ,” but out of a deep trust that it can come to you naturally. It’s like learning to trust the flow of life instead of constantly fighting against the current.
